Mercury Is Retrograde ( And Why I Don't Hate It)

If you're here you probably know a thing or two about Mercury Retrograde and the typical hijinks of this transit. Based on your chart it could hit you or miss you, sometimes they are super dramatic and sometimes you barely notice the transit. (Unless of course Mercury is your chart ruler: Gemini and Virgo Ascendant you always feel it on some level).

This seasons Mercury Retrograde starts on November 25th and is in the sign of Sagittarius. Sagittarius is the optimist, the adventurer, the philosopher, and wants us to zoom out for the bigger picture. Sagittarius is our world view, what we believe in, and our freedom to explore. With a retrograde here we have a pause. We have a break in the waves and an opportunity to reexamine:

What do I believe to be true?

Why do I believe it?

Am I still in alignment with this belief?

Right before Thanksgiving, this retrograde comes on the heels of Pluto moving in to Aquarius and just before the nodal shift of Pisces and Virgo. Talk about a vibe switch. We just closed out a 15 year chapter of Pluto in Capricorn and an 18 month energy of the Aries and Libra nodes. Where did these transits place us? Are we different in some ways? Most likely the answer is yes.

So why not make the best of this in between and see who we really are now. Not who we think we should be or who we are pretending to be. Its time to get real, open and honest. It's like taking an alignment inventory. There are some stories we are still telling that may not be true for us any more and this transit can really help us see that.

How do you know if something is no longer in alignment? It just stops working. It is no longer relevant. You no longer have access to the way it once made you feel. There's disconnect and discomfort. Something else starts to catch your eye.

Keep this in mind as you move through this transit lasting until December 15th.
