As we step into a new year we step into new energy with the astrological transits of January, 2025. This month our focus will be inward as we align emotionally and prepare to receive downloads from spirit.
January 2nd Venus in Pisces:
Wasting no time whatsoever, we get the vibe shift almost immediately in 2025 with this transit. Venus moves from quirky, humanitarian, innovative Aquarius and swims into the ethereal, dreamy, compassionate Pisces. Venus is exalted here and the floodgates of an almost otherworldly romance awaits. Divine harmony and creative flow merge as one. Tap into the visions of your innermost spirit and allow the dream to whisk you away to another dimension. "Reality" is a swear word during this transit. Enjoy the magical ways in which this time unfolds and the gifts the tide brings in. There is a sense of receiving treasure from the heavens. Do your best not to get completely swept out to sea!
January 6th Mars RX in Cancer:
The planet of action, motivation, and drive has been retrograding in Leo and now begins its backwards journey through Cancer. This puts emotions even more into focus. Mars retrograde in Cancer wants us to reevaluate what we hold dear and how we feel about our connections, especially those closest to us. It is easy to feel frustrated and be passive aggressive during this transit. Although this is a potentially irritating time, pay attention to what friction comes to the surface. We have an opportunity to get to the heart behind emotional blocks that could potentially originate at our roots and upbringing. Solace is found in finding peace and a sense of home within.
January 8th Mercury in Capricorn:
This is a lovely dose of rational and clear thinking amidst the emotional backdrop of Venus and Mars. At least our communication efforts will be more direct, focused, logical and goal oriented in Capricorn. If we are on a deep dive internally, this transit will be a welcomed reality check and assist us in processing the data. Mercury in Capricorn makes efficient use of intellect and discernment but also knows when to hold back, prioritizing only the necessities. Notice where you are fluctuating between emotion and reason and use these transits to find stability.
January 11th Nodal Shift into Pisces and Virgo:
We've come around to the 18 month transit where the nodes of destiny and fate move into Pisces and Virgo. The last time the nodes were in this position was over the course of 2006-2007. The North Node will be in Pisces, and wherever the North Node is transiting is the energy we want to lean in to. The South Node is in Virgo and the toxic qualities of Virgo is what we will collectively be working on releasing. The mantra I created for assistance is, "My spirit understands what my mind does not". This encourages us to lean into the deep inner knowing, faith, and spiritual connection that Pisces energy provides while releasing the need to think our way through. We are in the process of a paradigm shift and the outer world will be anything but orderly. It will benefit us to let the logical and analytical part of our brains take a backseat as we allow miracles to manifest.
January 13th Full Moon in Cancer:
What intentions were you working on manifesting on the rare Black New Moon in Capricorn that took place on December 30th, 2024? This full moon could reveal the first signs of activation from that moon. With a full moon we reach an energetic apex and this could be quite cathartic if you are willing to go within. Emotions will be high. Be aware of others lashing out (partly due to the triggering effect of the recent Mars RX in Cancer) The need to nurture and honor our feelings will be a priority. Where could you use more support? Don't be afraid to ask for help. Look for ways in which you can find ways to "reparent" the child within. Give yourself space at this time and do your best to ride this emotional wave.
January 19th Sun in Aquarius:
This will be a change of pace from our time with Capricorn, who was attempting to help us get our footing for the new year, into Aquarius. This season will have us really facing a new era, as Pluto is now firmly locked into its 20 year transit through Aquarius. Be aware of the Aquarius ruled house in your chart as this is the major department of transformation ahead. Collectively, the experience will really begin to appear on the world stage. A new world is truly being born and we will be sure to see the first signs of this during Aquarius season.
January 27th Mercury in Aquarius:
We're getting downloads now, and they are coming in electromagnetic pulses. Mercury is communication, Aquarius is the future and the innovator. The Sun, Pluto, and Mercury all being in the same sign is ready to speak to our souls. It is possible we will be given a clue or piece of the puzzle that will slowly unfold over the next 20 years. This is a time we are focused on the collective and humanitarian efforts as well. A possible scientific breakthrough could be revealed to the masses. A way forward with unconventional methods may form. Is a rebellion on the rise? Mercury is exalted in Aquarius and is capable of very outside the box visions. Keep a notebook or your phone handy to take notes of what interesting insights you receive. Not everything will make sense at first but give it time.
January 29th New Moon in Aquarius:
There's quite a party happening in Aquarius now! The Moon, Sun, Mercury, and Pluto are all here for a bit so if we haven't quite felt the shift of this energy we can use the moon's energy to seal the deal. There's a revolution taking place inside of us. Use this moon to align with your quaint and authentic vision. There is no one like you. If you find yourself becoming disillusioned from the world before you, create a new one. Find your people because they are out there! The call to step into your unique authenticity will be louder than ever. There's a craving for community, don't hesitate to connect and branch out from your "usual".
January 30th Uranus direct in Taurus:
This is the record scratch moment when everyone stops what they're doing and looks in the direction of the dj. What is happening? Uranus is the wild card that doesn't follow predictable patterns. Taurus is our values, food, resources, luxury, beauty industry, homes, stability, and our senses. Maybe some outlandish news in regards to one of these topics? The news could be good, but my guess is that it will be ...weird. Whatever the case, we will be well on our way to a very catalystic 2025 where almost everything changes!
If you have been feeling stagnant and boxed in, January 2025 will surely get your mojo flowing and have you at the beginnings of a new vision for yourself and the collective. Embrace change, feel the feelings that come up and use them as a guide to get into alignment with a new path and a bigger dream!
